Taken by Edward Bloor. I heard about this one from Unshelved as one of their Book Club features.

It’s the near future — 2035 — and kidnapping of rich kids is so prevalent that kids are trained in how to cooperate during the standard 24 hours till the ransom deadline. Charity Meyers, age 13, has been “taken.” Her story of those 24 hours is interspersed with flashbacks to her life in a secure gated community. Then, something goes wrong…. It’s an interesting story of suspense with unexpected twists and turns. Also unexpected but welcome is the underlying social commentary about the rich-poor divide.
